The Utility Kilt is a kilt you can do day to day work in, some are camouflaged some are just plain khaki, but you wouldn’t worry if it got grease stains or whatever, compared to a proper highland dress kilt, which can cost upwards of £1000 if a heavy weight kilt with box pleats.
It doesn’t matter where a kilt is made, a kilt is a kilt, it just has a different use but look at some of those kilts by the designer MacQueen who was buried on the Isle of Skye, plain, Black, even leather yet they are all kilts, they wrap around your waist, they hang level when kneeling down and most importantly, they are all comfortable to wear, but utility kilts can be replaced a lot cheaper than say a Hector Russell one.
